These Grilled Chicken Wings are one of the easiest suppers we make around here. The fact that I have chicken wings in my freezer is a work of the Lord. (Too much? Maybe so. The chicken wings are really good though.) You see, I use Zaycon Fresh for buying chicken. Zaycon Fresh offers all types of meats at a very reasonable price, but I mainly buy chicken from them. When you use Zaycon Fresh, you search by location and then see what they are offering for pick up on what day. When your pick up day arrives, the friendly delivery driver will send you a reminder text.
Well, the day I was to pick up 40 pounds of chicken thighs, (Wonder what I do with 40 pounds of chicken? Check it out here.) my friendly delivery guy sent a message that he had arrived with our orders, but he also had several cases of chicken wings on his truck that were on a first come, first serve basis. I can’t remember exactly, but I’m pretty sure they were less than $1.50 per pound. If you are into shopping with a grocery budget, you know this is a REALLY good deal.
It just so happens that I have 4 boys in this house that LOVE some chicken wings. But 40 pounds of chicken wings? No problem. The only problem is that our guys typically like a fried wing. Well, no more. They are hooked on these GRILLED CHICKEN WINGS. Hooked. In fact, if you come to our house on chicken wing night, you better get here early. There will not…I repeat…will not be any leftovers.
Now, to the recipe for the Simple and Tasty Grilled Chicken Wings…
Place all the chicken wings on a tray.
Sprinkle both sides with:
Then place them on a grill at medium heat for 5-10 minutes per side. (When the wing becomes golden brown and the juices run clear, they are done. Since grill temperatures and the sizes of chicken wings vary so much I can’t tell you exactly.)
Remove the grill and enjoy! These chicken wings go perfectly with Moulder Corn Salad, Brussel Sprouts, and Cheesy Jalapeno Cornbread. And, if you’re feeling dessert (And let’s be honest. I’m always feeling dessert.) Nana’s Peachy Delight would be absolute perfection to round out this meal.
