I’m Jennifer, the wife of Fred, the mother of three boys, Clayton (13), Jack (10), and Andrew (7) and a daughter of the one true King. My husband is the senior pastor in a baptist church, and we have been married for 16 years. For the last 13 years I have been on maternity leave. I love my family, cooking, cleaning, organizing, working with children, traveling, all things funny, dreaming, planning, and hiking. As a recovering perfectionists and a constant work in progress, I hope this blog is an encouragement to you as you journey through life. I’m honored to take this journey with you! Grab a glass of sweet tea (or if you’re me…water!) and stay awhile!
My headshot and family picture were taken by the fabulous Elizabeth Wiggs Photography. She is the best in the business!
In case you still have more questions…
Why did you choose the blog title chaos2peace?
Coming to the decision to use this blog title took lots of scientific research and chart making. Then I compared it to market research and conducted a beta test. I’m kidding. Coming up with the name meant that I texted a few trusted friends and asked them their opinion on a couple of names. Ultimately, chaos2peace was the final selection.
What is the meaning behind the name?
I think life can just naturally be chaotic, but as I look around sometimes I think I make things too complicated. When I keep things simple, honest and real I can bring peace to a chaotic situation. If you stick around here long enough you will learn that the only way to have ultimate peace is to spend time daily with the Prince of Peace.
So, is your house always peaceful?
Nope. Not even close.
What is your favorite meal?
A specific meal is difficult for me to pick. I will really eat anything. A favorite meal to me is defined by the people around the table.
If I were to send you on a vacation, where would you like to go?
I’m so glad you asked. I’d love a free vacation! The next trip we take as a family I’d like to be to Washington D.C. or a 10 day road trip out West. These are things on our travel bucket list. If you want to give me a trip I’ll go about anywhere.
Would you rather have a 3 pack or a 15 pack of paper towels?
Would you rather make a list or just do things “as they come to mind”?
Make a list.
Would you pick chocolate or vanilla cake?
I hope this answered all the questions you never knew you had. In the meantime, if you have anymore questions, send them my way!
