Freezer cooking is a new phenomenon for me. The girls at Thriving Home Blog introduced it to me several years ago. Recently, I decided to gather a group of friends and have a Freezer Cooking Club. We meet once a month and prepare 6 meals and laugh and have a good time and FILL OUR FREEZERS!! I’d call that winning, right?!?
If you’ve never hosted a Freezer Cooking Club, I’d encourage you to check out this post on How to Host Your First Successful Freezer Cooking Club. Start here, for sure, or you can do this by yourself. I just prefer to gather a group of friends and make things as fun as possible.
Here’s what we did last month:
Pizza Buns by Chaos2Peace
Crockpot Chicken Philly Cheesesteak by New Leaf Wellness
Super Easy Sliders by Free Homeschool Deals
Bolognese Sauce by Six Sisters Stuff
Pepperoncini Shredded Beef by New Leaf Wellness
Crockpot Lime Shredded Pork by New Leaf Wellness
Everyone really liked these recipes. Of course, I always add these items into my monthly menu plan when I plan the month out. Another thing that I do each month to fill my freezer is cook all my ground beef in the crockpot. This is a great time saver on several different levels.
Are you new to menu planning? This video clip below shows you how to plan for the month and think through your menu. By planning your menu (and sticking to it!!!) you will save time and money…I promise!
Want someone to do the planning for you?? My friend, Laura, over at Heavenly Homemakers will do just that! For $1 a week, she will email you her plan, Simple Meals. Does it get any simpler?? I think not.
PS-By using the code, SIMPLE10, you will receive $10 off of the year, making the cost less than $1 per week. How lovely, right?!?
